Financial Standing Orders
Introduction
Financial Standing Orders provide the framework for managing the County Council’s financial affairs. They apply to every member and officer of the County Council and anyone acting on its behalf.
The County Council is responsible for providing a wide range of services which involves spending significant amounts of money. To help ensure the County Council makes best use of this money a range of financial responsibilities have been delegated to Strategic Directors who, in turn, have delegated some financial responsibilities to Cost Centre Managers and Managers of Traded Services.
There are five separate documents in the Financial Standing Orders suite covering the responsibilities of the Strategic Director of Resources, Strategic Director of Performance and Development, Strategic Directors and Cost Centre Managers.
